THE WORK HARD AT SCHOOL MYTH!
If, like me, you have grown tired of the relentless pursuit of something they promised us at school “if we worked hard and followed the rules”, then you are about to start a journey where you out smart the rule makers! Now I am an educator I will tell you right now that your teachers have only the best in mind for you. They have given you the basic skills needed to achieve anything you want. I encourage everyone to work very hard at the basic skills – reading – writing – mathematics!

What schools don’t generally do is teach you about the finance systems and how you need education about them in order to succeed in wealth creation.
THE WORK HARD AS A GROWN UP MYTH!
I started life on a farm and learned at an early age the joy and heartache of running your own businesses. My father worked hard all his life and died 2 years after his retirement – like so many men of his era.
This was a wake up call to me in my mid-forties and at the supposed peak of my career. You see I was the first in my farming family to go to university and acquire a degree but it has taken me 48 years to learn what really matters!
Work hard, carry that load without complaint!
I was 45, married to a lovely woman, two beautiful children (one recovering from cancer) and mortgaged like all my peers! Then it all got too much – work became too demanding and my health started to break-up, my career started to get stale and I just could not move forward financially!
My doctor told me to change my job before it kills me!
Teenage children need money for all sorts of things, school, piano lessons, clothing and then University etc. How was I going to meet all their needs!
I had plans too – well at least I used to – I gave up so many it seemed!
THE WORK SMART TRUTH!
Well, after much soul searching and some “The Secret” like coincidences I started on a path that led me to Jamie and the crew at 21stCA. I read Jamie’s book just before Xmas 2006 and after 3 hours decided to apply one of my passions to a business idea –and so started “Woodies Home and Gardening Services”.
I now spend 1-2 days a week in the gardens of clients that I have chosen to work for. I have the control and am enjoying every minute!
Wow! A fire had been lit in me!
I kept reading the book and then ordered my free DVD.

Now I started learning about shares, the market and how to generate income from them.
Well the rest as they say is history – I took action and by March 2007 I had my first “pay check” from my first months investing! Nearly equal to my teaching pay for the month – and it took only 1 hour of my time!
2 months later and I made $1600 in three days trading!

Now I tell you this brief outline not to be a show-off but to let you see that I was a regular “John” following all the rules until mid-life crises struck. Then I found information and education that was the right stuff at the right time!
